Post It Note Tuesday!

Join the fun over at Adventures of a WannaBe SupahMommy!

Our Family Christmas Wish List

I hope this helps with any ideas. Let me know if you have any questions or you decide on something since I can then let others know. Of course these are just suggestions and truthful none of us have a need or want for anything. :o)

Family Gifts:

An Indoor Trampoline

This would be a perfect gift for all 3 of them and a great way for them to release some energy while pent up for the winter. Something like this.

Blu Ray Movies

Now that we have the Blu Ray we are trying to switch over to Blu Ray Movies. The kids love movies (since we don't have cable) and some favorites that we don't have:

Tinkerbell (Kaiden's favorite)
Hotel for Dogs
Monsters Vs Aliens
Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs
Pinocchio
Bolt
G-Force

Family Passes

Since really the kids don't need "stuff" but family passes to places is always great. It is great to make memories with them doing fun stuff. We received a family pass to the zoo one year and that was awesome. There is Canada's Wonderland, Metro Toronto Zoo, Waterloo Children's Museum, Ontario Science Centre.

Bedding

Since we just moved and things are tight fleece sheet sets for the kids beds would be wonderful. The kids are all in twin beds. This set would be cute for Taryn (matches her room & super cute fairies!) Fairy Bedding Audree-Ann & Kaiden share a room that is blue. A set with something blue would be great. Ted and I have a queen and would love a new set of flannel sheets for the bed, something nuetral is nice since our room is green. Nice pillows for all would be appreciated too!

Gift Cards/Money

As a family we are saving for a trip to make memories next November. We want to take the kids to Disney. As I'm sure you are aware it is a costly trip. In the last year we've saved about $1200 just from money for gifts alone. So this is always appreciated.

Gift Cards are also great since it is something the kids can use to pick out something they like. Toys R Us and Sears are great generic ones that we can always use.

Train Table

I know Kaiden would love this gift! He has a bunch of train sets but a table to play with them would be an awesome gift, actually it would be great for all of them, not just Kaiden. Preferable it would have storage for the trains included underneath.

Audree-Ann

Calico Critters

I know Audree-Ann would love these furry little creatures to play with in her doll house. She really doesn't need any furniture since she has her doll furniture.
You can find these at indpendent toy stores

Clothing

Audree-Ann doesn't have any need for clothing but it is always appreciated. She is wearing a size 6 in tops and dress and size 5 bottoms.

Kaiden

Clothing

Kaiden doesn't have a need for clothing either but it is always appreciated. He is wearing size 4 in tops & bottoms.

Taryn

Fisher Price Little People

I think Taryn would like her own set of Fisher Price Little People to play with. A really cute small set with some people and maybe a house would be a great starter set.

Clothing

Taryn doesn't have a need for clothing but it is appreciated. She is wearing size 12-18 months in tops, bottoms & dresses.

Blog Hop Tuesday ~FAVORITE HOLIDAY TRADITIONS~

I love when the blog hop works out perfect for something I wanted to blog about! This worked out very well indeed because my very favorite tradition actually starts today!

Introducing....

the elf!

This elf is old, older than me! His job?! To keep kids in check around Christmas time. Elf is from my childhood. I remember him moving places to keep an eye on my sister and my. Totally creepy but super fun!

Once I had kids my Mom handed the elf down. I didn't start right away but I think when Audree-Ann was about 3 I brought him out. I have also added some new traditions to include with the Elf.

Elf arrives Dec 1st with the Advent calendar. Every night he goes back to the North Pole to report to Santa on how behaved or not my 3 kidlets were that day. If things are cool the Elf brings back a small gift/treat to include in the Advent calender and then finds a new spot to hang out for the day.

The kids get a total rush out of this and talk about him all year. Audree-Ann has been counting down until Dec 1st to see the Elf and she wasn't too impressed when her friend Kyleigh already had their Elf in the house. :o) Every morning they dash around trying to find the sneaky Elf and where he is going to hang out for the day. They find that even more exciting than the treats/gifts!

Happy hopping! I can't wait to read everyone else's favorite traditions!

Manic Monday!

Manic is the word of the last week, not just Monday! Things have been insane!

For some crazy reason I decided to throw a housewarming party on Saturday. The good, we saw my Father in Law, Brother in Law, Sister in Law & niece. The kids enjoyed playing with their cousin. The bad?! I had to scrub the house and it was exhausting, as well as trying to figure out how to keep it that way with 3 kids running around!

Saturday was just crazy in general as well. We are trying to get ready for the wedding so I had to get Audree-Ann's dress and make sure it was good. It fits her like a glove and is totally perfect, love it! I can't wait to see her with her hair all done up she is going to be beautiful!

Then we ran and had to try on Kaiden's tux, what a mess that was. :o( Needless to say I'll be going back tomorrow and hopefully everything will be fixed and proper.

I then for some reason decided it would be a good idea to take the kids to see Santa while we were at the mall trying on Kaiden's suit. Yeah not so much! Santa didn't arrive until 11:10 (he was suppose to be there at 11). There was a line up starting at 10:45! The dumb place doesn't take debit. The baby screamed her head off and I told the lady to take the picture anyway thinking at least the other 2 would look okay, yeah not so much. The picture was awful! We'll go again to a different one. The best part though was Kaiden's reaction to seeing Santa, he was just totally in love and right into it. Santa was coming down the hallway and Kaiden was screaming and waving from the other end, lol. Gotta love that boy, when he is happy and excited you know it. Audree-Ann is very quiet and you don't really know if she is happy at all or excited about something because she doesn't let it show, she's very much like me. It is nice to see Kaiden have such an exuberant personality!

After Santa we quickly ran to Metro to pick up some stuff and then to get home so I could feed the kids and then I could finish cleaning while they napped. Taryn was super cranky so that sucked! Thankfully though I was able to get everything done and the place looked super nice. :o) It isn't looking so much like that anymore, not too bad but definitely not as nice!

Of course last week I was also trying to get the storage unit emptied, never got finished. I think I have one more load that is going to cost me $30 since I have to rent the unit for a week, GRRR! But soon it will be done and I'll be $90 richer each month, that will be nice!

Of course on top of that we have the regular stuff, Audree-Ann has school, I'm working, Ted is working and then activities. Just total chaos in our house. We survived the week though and here we go with another!

Hopefully this one is a little calmer, so far not too bad, of course we have a huge weekend planned so that will add to the craziness. Saturday we are going to Audree-Ann's school for Breakfast with Santa (super fun!), I work 3-11, and then the wedding on Sunday. Before you know it, it will be next week!

Happy Manic Monday to all! See you next Monday!

Taryn Turns 18 Months

On Saturday Taryn turned 18 months, 1.5 years. I can hardly believe it! We spent some time celebrating in the morning before I dropped them off at Andrea's while I went to work. We had pancakes with banana's and whip cream and then topped that off with some cake! Nothing like a sugar filled breakfast to start your day, lol.

Taryn opened her little gift which were Crayola Tadoodles so she can work on becoming a great artist. They are super cute and I love how they make them for the younger kids.

Some great fun and memories were had. Happy 18 months sweet Princess Taryn.

Post it Note Tuesday!

Check it out here:

My post its for this week:

Blog Hop Tuesday ~WAYS TO SAVE MONEY~

This weeks blog hop theme is how to go about saving money.

Oops, forgot to actually finish my post, lol.

Anyway my biggest tips to save are:

~make a grocery list from the flyers (make menu from the deals)
~use coupons whenever you can
~stockpile if you can when things are really cheap
~always google for a code or coupon if possible (sometimes I'm really suprised at what I find!)
~use a site like Ebates to earn cash back on your online purchases
~live a debt free lifestyle, I like the program by Dave Ramsey
~find a great points program, I love the Shopper's Optimum program (for Canadian's), check out this post to learn the ins and outs

Of course there are other things I do as well but that is how I go about saving the most money. :o)

Happy hopping!

Christmas Kick Off and Other Stuff

The holidays have officially started in our house. Ted took the kids on Friday night to the Orangeville tree lighting ceremony. While there they also handed their letter to Santa and watched the tractor light parade. They tried to do a hay wagon ride but Ted gave up after waiting in line with 3 kids for 45 minutes and bribed them away with hot chocolate. Here is a picture from the night.

Then on Saturday they watched the Santa Claus parade. They scored bunches of candy and then Ted took them out to DQ for dinner.

Me?! I was stuck at work and missed all the fun both nights. My schedule can really suck sometimes! At least the weather was nice for both events so the kids got to enjoy them.

On another note Audree-Ann attended the party she was invited to and had an awesome time. She was invited to another for this coming Sunday but unfortunately the schedule won't allow for this one.

I now am spending the week getting the house ready for our house warming open house on Saturday. There is barely anyone coming but the house does need to look decent and I'm going to try and start decorating for Christmas as well. I also need to get everything out of the storage unit by Friday or I'll have to pay for another month. I just did a trip this morning and am planning to hopefully have it finished by Thursday. Tomorrow I'm meeting with Audree-Ann's teacher bright and early at 8 am and then am heading down to the US to do a box pick up. While there I'm going to hit a few stores and hopefully cross some more names of my to buy for list.

So as you can see things are crazy busy all the time! My Mom's wedding is coming in a couple of weeks, Kaiden's Birthday, and Christmas. I think I might lose my mind! I'm hoping to at least survive and create some great memories along the way!

Happy Half Birthday Princess Taryn!

Taryn is one and a half today...18 months! I can't believe how big she is getting. She loves to play and chat and get into trouble!

Because I am crazy and love to celebrate all things fun...I have started a family tradition of officially celebrating half birthdays in our house (well for the kids, Ted wouldn't let me celebrate mine, LOL) so we are going to celebrate with a pancake breakfast (since we are away for dinner) and some cupcakes, so healthy! LOL I'll post about the fun later!

The official 18 month old picture! She is so cute!
